Delegates can learn about South Australian wine within the CBD at the National Wine Centre of Australia, whilst in the Adelaide foothills at Penfolds Magill Estate visitors can drop in for a tasting and wine tour.

Adelaide’s world class Convention Centre overlooks the picturesque River Torrens and is supported by professional businesses that can easily and expertly organise events for up to 6,000 people. Adelaide offers over 4,500 international standard rooms within 5 minutes walk of the CBD and major convention venues with a further 1,600 rooms across the greater Adelaide area. A free city tram service means that delegates can commute or walk from venue to venue free of transport costs.
Adelaide Airport
Adelaide is known as the ’20 Minute City’, and for good reason. Our destination assures a seamless, hassle-free experience from start to finish. Adelaide’s International and Domestic Airport is located just 15 minutes from the central business district (CBD). The Airport welcomes direct international flights with Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand and Tiger Airways.
Skylink Shuttle
The Skylink Shuttle operates between the airport, city and Interstate Rail Terminal (Kerswick), as well as the JetBus linking the airport, city and also various suburbs.
Taxis, Trams and Buses
Adelaide’s taxi service is both extensive and efficient in keeping with the city’s international appeal.
Following a recent $31 million upgrade to Adelaide’s tramline, visiting delegates now have the luxury of a free tram service, and a direct link from the Adelaide Convention Centre to the famous Glenelg beach.
A free bus service is also available within the city centre, which is supported by extensive services across the greater metropolitan region.
Climate
In the month of August, Adelaide experiences temperatures of 8.2 oC (minimum) to 16.6oC (maximum). Please ensure that you bring warm clothing when travelling to Adelaide for the Australian Lung Cancer Conference.
